The Nasdaq-100 Beta ETF – Nasdaq-100 PLN-Hedged Beta ETF has made its debut on the WSE Main List today. The fund was issued by AgioFunds TFI, the offering, and the market maker is Dom Maklerski BOŚ and the coordinator of the Beta Securities Poland initiative.

“The last year on the global capital markets has shown that the importance of the ETF and passive funds segment is growing dynamically. In 2020, the assets of passively managed funds reached the level of $8 trillion, which means an increase of 34 percent y/y. We see the great potential of the ETF segment also on the Polish market. We are pleased that the WSE's offer is being expanded by ETF on the Nasdaq-100 index, which is one of the most replicated indices in the world. The new fund for an index grouping the shares of the largest American technology companies is an interesting alternative for investors, especially since it is secured in PLN, which means that its mechanism includes protection against currency risk,” Izabela Olszewska, Member of the WSE Management Board, said.

The Nasdaq-100 index is an index of the 100 largest US technology companies listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange in the US. This is the fifth ETF fund introduced by Agiofunds, in cooperation with Beta Securities Poland on the WSE, and the first ETF to debut in 2021.
