According to the "Savings Barometer 2023" study, over 21% of Poles lack any savings, with many postponing saving until earning extra income. Financial expert Karol Słobodzian notes a cultural difference, highlighting Western practices of saving from initial earnings. He stresses the importance of saving for emergencies, suggesting 3 to 6 months' worth of expenses. Słobodzian also distinguishes between saving and investing, emphasizing the need for prudent budgeting. Despite improving awareness, data reflects a persistent struggle with savings, signaling a growing need for financial education.
