11.4 thousand Pekao Bank employees in the Microsoft cloud

Bank Pekao has just finished the first phase of implementing Microsoft Teams for 11,400 employees. This is one of the largest cloud implementations in the Polish financial sector.
Microsoft Teams application from the 365 suite is a tool that optimizes teamwork, project management, and daily cooperation, especially in such a dynamic work environment as Bank Pekao. It allows not only for video and teleconferences but also for efficient work on documents in different areas of the Bank in real-time. It is a service based on the public cloud, and at the same time integrated and coexisting with internal services.
"The implementation of Microsoft Teams in Bank Pekao shows that we are ready to operate in the cloud. It brings many new opportunities for development, and first of all, it will allow us to improve and facilitate work, including remote and hybrid work", says Justyna Solak-Rzytki, Director of Operations and Maintenance at Bank Pekao S.A..
Development of the bank’s cloud functionalities, exemplified by the implementation of Microsoft Teams, is one of the key objectives of Bank Pekao SA IT Strategy for 2021-2024. The new concept, contained in the document “Responsible banking. Modern Banking” is the result of the work of a wide range of bank employees and is based on four pillars: Customer, Growth, Efficiency, and Responsibility. Pekao Bank will successively introduce more technological improvements and novelties for business and individual clients as well as within the organization.
