GUS: strong growth seen in trade between Poland and USA in Jan-May period

Between January and May 2025, Poland saw a significant increase in trade with the United States, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Exports to the U.S. rose by 5.9%, while imports grew even more sharply by 13.4%, resulting in a trade deficit of €2.8 billion.
The largest share of trade involved mechanical industry goods. Key Polish exports to the U.S. included furniture, optical and photographic equipment, and electrical machinery. These figures reflect strengthening trade relations, but also highlight a growing imbalance in favor of U.S. imports.
