28% of Poles want 4-day work week, employers remain skeptical

Approximately 28% of employees in Poland are interested in shortening the workweek to 4 days, according to a study by the "Barometer of the Polish Labor Market" conducted by Personnel Service. Companies show less interest, although 1 in 10 employers plans to implement this system. Experts suggest that this can be achieved while maintaining high profits, provided certain conditions are met. Experiments conducted by the non-profit organization 4 Day Week Global confirm the benefits of a 4-day workweek, such as increased revenue and improved employee health. However, most companies remain skeptical, but increased interest may encourage experimentation with this model.
The optimal solution would be to enable companies to work for 7 days a week, while allowing for a 4-day workweek for employees, according to Krzysztof Inglot, the founder of Personnel Service. It could contribute to continuous economic development and mitigate issues related to job automation.
