84% of Baby Boomers Believe in Poland’s Growth Potential

According to a nationwide survey for the We Did It In Poland campaign, 84 percent of baby boomers (aged 60+) believe Poland has strong development potential – the highest across all age groups. In comparison, this view is shared by 75 percent of Gen X, 66 percent of millennials (Gen Y), and Gen Z respondents. Among the youngest group, 55 percent feel Poland lags behind other European countries.
Despite this optimism among older generations, only 4 percent of Poles are proud of the country’s current development level. Most associate national pride with identity (25 percent) and historical heritage (22 percent), while achievements of modern-day Poles are rarely cited.
The study also reveals that Poles often self-identify as overly critical and prone to abandoning plans. However, 29 percent highlight energy, 27 percent goal achievement, and 26 percent ambition as national traits.
“We must recognize our achievements and speak of them with pride. This inspires future generations to believe in their potential,” Rafał Modrzewski, CEO of ICEYE, said.
