Report: in five years, every third employee will be from Gen Z

By 2030, Gen Z will comprise one-third of the global workforce, forcing companies to adapt to their unique values and career expectations, according to the “Work War Z” report by Enpulse. Born between 1995–2012, Gen Z grew up amid digital transformation, social media, and crises like COVID‑19 and ongoing conflicts. Their top priorities include competitive pay (47%), workplace atmosphere (30%), and work–life balance, alongside interest in ESG and mental health.
Most prefer stable employment contracts (74%) over self-employment and value flexible schedules and remote work, though not at the expense of salary. Employers must foster supportive, participatory cultures and invest in well-being programs to retain young talent, as many managers cite motivation and professionalism gaps among Gen Z hires.
