Business climate indicators up for second month in a row

Business climate indicators in manufacturing remain lower than a year ago, but their values ​​increased for the second month in a row, results from the research of the Institute of Economic Development SGH (IRG SGH). In June, the IRG IND index increased its value by 10.6 points up to minus 19.6 points.

"The rate of decline in both business climate indicators and balance sheet balances has been slowed down. In June, as in May, monthly increases in their value were recorded. The values ​​of indicators are still lower than the value a year ago," the study said.

The overall business climate indicator in the processing industry IRG IND increased its value during the month by 10.6 points to the level of minus 19.3 points. It is lower than the year before by 15.3 points.

The authors of the study indicate that the financial situation of private sector enterprises has improved. Despite the fall in prices, the financial situation of enterprises improved, but only in the private sector.

"However, the values ​​of balances and business climate indicators remain negative. The lowest value in this study,  minus 67 points, was recorded for the question about the general condition of the Polish economy. During the year, its value decreased by 59.1 points. The mood of entrepreneurs is pessimistic. Forecast balances have negative values,​​" analysts added.
