Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented a new economic strategy under the slogan "Poland: Year of Change", emphasizing investment in energy and transport, deregulation, and cooperation with businesses. He announced investment spending exceeding PLN 650 billion, potentially reaching PLN 700 billion, aiming for 4% GDP growth by 2025.
Key priorities include energy sector reforms to attract foreign investors like Microsoft and Google, ensure cheaper, stable energy supplies, and develop smart grids. A second nuclear power plant will be privately financed, and PLN 65 billion will be invested in transmission networks.
Tusk also stressed rapid deregulation, inviting business leaders like InPost’s Rafał Brzoska to propose practical regulatory changes. However, critics argue that existing business councils have long suggested reforms that remain unimplemented. The planned Economic Council aims to foster better government-business dialogue.
