Nepalis received about 20,000 work permits in Poland in 2018. This is the second highest number after Ukrainians who got about 329,000 permits to live and work in Poland last year. While the number of Ukrainians coming to Poland for work rose by 25 percent y/y, for Nepalis the growth was 181 percent compared to 2017.

In 2017, employers in Poland hired over 7,000 Nepalis, almost 4,000 Indians, 2,400 people from Bangladesh, about 1,400 Russians and Azeris, over 1,200 Turks, and almost as many Chinese.
