The proposed amendment to the law on special solutions for flood damage removal includes exemptions for farmers from fees for chemical-physical analyses of flooded soils and penalties related to the nitrate program. Agricultural producers whose lands were inundated will not have to pay for soil analysis, facilitating their assessment of agricultural production viability post-flood.

The amendment also extends the deadline for adapting flooded farms’ infrastructure for storing natural fertilizers from December 31, 2024, to December 31, 2027. Additionally, it aims to streamline procedures for the demolition, renovation, and reconstruction of damaged flood defense structures. This initiative is particularly relevant for regions affected by natural disasters, including Lower Silesia, Opole, and Silesia, where numerous nitrate program violations were reported in 2023.
