War damage recovery in Ukraine has piqued the interest of Polish entrepreneurs, but only one in ten has decided to start operations in the country during the war. Karol Kubica from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) emphasizes that rebuilding will involve modern technologies and European standards, creating opportunities for Polish firms. Currently, over 3,000 Polish companies have expressed interest in participating in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
In 2023, more than 300 Polish companies were established in Ukraine, predominantly in Lviv. However, the ongoing war limits Polish business engagement, as the security risks deter many firms. Conversely, Ukrainians established 25,000 sole proprietorships in Poland, fostering bilateral trade relations.
