Finance Minister Andrzej Domański stated that the Polish złoty remains at a level unfavorable for exporters, limiting the potential for export-driven economic growth. He attributed the situation partly to the weak economic performance of the Eurozone, with low PMI indicators negatively impacting the EUR/PLN exchange rate.
Despite these challenges, the Ministry of Finance maintains its 2025 GDP growth forecast at 3.9%, although it recognizes significant risks. For Q4 2024, Poland's GDP growth is expected to be around 2.8-2.9%. Domański emphasized that while the forecast remains unchanged, the strength of the złoty and Eurozone challenges pose obstacles to Poland's economic expansion.
