The minimum wage should be increased to PLN 2,500 gross (from PLN 2,250 this year) from 2020, the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs (FPP) believes. It is estimated that increasing the minimum wage to PLN 2,500 gross would mean an additional PLN 2.2 billion in inflows to the public finance sector per year. The FPP suggests that part of those additional funds – some PLN 1.6 billion – be used to reduce the tax wedge and to increase employees’ tax deductible costs to over PLN 333 per month.
