In the first half of 2024, the average apartment size in multi-family buildings was 51.9 sqm, according to GUS. This is slightly down from 52.0 sqm in the same period of 2023. For single-family homes, the average size was 131.9 sqm, comparable to 131.8 sqm last year. The highest residential construction activity was in the Pomeranian region.

The average construction time for new residential buildings was 44 months, with multi-family buildings being constructed almost twice as fast as single-family ones. Notable increases in new construction were observed for hotels and tourist accommodations (up 41.2%) and various public buildings (up 12.4%).
