Iga Świątek is the youngest tennis player from the top ten in the WTA ranking. After the triumph in Rome, she was promoted to the ninth position. Now she is setting himself new goals, the most important of which are the defense of the Grand Slam Roland Garros and the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Polish woman also cares about the marketing side of her career – so far she has already appeared in several advertising campaigns. She has also recently joined Xiaomi Poland as a brand ambassador and a member of the Mi Community community, where she will share information about her life and career with fans. They will even be able to win a duel on the court with the French Open champion.
"This is the goal that practically every kid who starts playing tennis has, to be in the Top 10, then in the Top 5, then in the top three in the world, so I'm really happy that I managed to achieve it. Now, of course, we have more goals on the horizon and the biggest challenge will be to keep this ranking and be a very stable player and sporting-wise to be able to stay in the top ten for many years," Iga Świątek announced.
The Polish woman is the first tennis player born in the 21st century to be promoted to the top ten in the WTA ranking. She did it after the triumph in the WTA tournament in Rome and the declassification of her rival from the Czech Republic in the final. This is the third title in the career of the 19-year-old from Warsaw. In January this year, she won the tournament in Adelaide, and last year she triumphed at the Roland Garros courts in Paris. Defending the Grand Slam title is one of the tennis player's main goals for this year. The 125th edition of the French Open Grand Slam tournament will start on May 30. The title in the women's single will be defended by Iga Świątek and in the men's single – Rafael Nadal. The winners will earn €1.6 million each and 2,000 points in the ranking.
