In 2023, the share of railway ticket sales through the internet increased by 8 percentage points to 42.9%, according to the Office of Rail Transport. More passengers are opting to purchase tickets online or via mobile apps, with 42.9% using these options last year. This marks an increase of 15 percentage points compared to 2021. Meanwhile, sales at physical ticket counters decreased to 25.5%, declining annually by approximately 4-5 percentage points. In 2023, this decline was 3.8 percentage points compared to the previous year. Tickets sold by onboard conductors accounted for 18.4% of railway service users, down by 2.5 percentage points from 2022.
