The number of public EV charging points in Poland is expected to grow significantly over the next three years, with annual increases of several thousand. However, it will take a decade to exceed 100,000 charging points. By the end of 2024, there were approximately 8,600 public charging points, a 42% y/y increase.
Key developments include the rise of charging hubs, which grew from 3 locations with 11 points in late 2023 to 46 locations by mid-2024. Rapid charging stations are prevalent in shopping centers (35%), fuel stations (26%), and public parking lots (21%).
Supported by public funding, infrastructure growth outpaces EV adoption. Experts emphasize the complementary roles of fast and slower AC chargers based on location-specific needs.
