Kearney's Global Cities Report drops Warsaw from 29th to 72nd in geography of opportunity

Warsaw's spot in Global Cities Index (GCI) remained unchanged at 65th in 2023, in Kearney's Global Cities Report, but its outlook dropped significantly from 29th last year to 72nd place.
In the GCI, which seeks to quantify the extent to which a city can attract, retain, and generate global flows of capital, people, and ideas, Warsaw came in 65th overall, with the highest score in political engagement (29th). The other factors included: cultural experience (47th) and business activity (48th), information exchange (59th) and human capital (99th).
The factors behind Warsaw's drop in Global Cities Outlook (GCO), which aims to point to cities best poised for global leadership in the future, were: governance (112th spot) and innovation (107th), despite the city's economics placing it significantly higher (28th).
The 2023 report, "The distributed geography of opportunity," delves into the impact of social, geopolitical, and technological changes on global cities.
