In the second quarter of 2024, Kruk spent PLN 565 million on debt portfolios, down from PLN 653 million the previous year, according to the company's announcement. During the same period, the group acquired portfolios with a nominal value of PLN 3.6 billion, compared to PLN 2.6 billion a year earlier. Debt repayments for portfolios purchased by Kruk amounted to PLN 883 million in Q2, a 14% increase from the previous year.
CEO Piotr Krupa highlighted that 58% of all repayments came from abroad, with Italian repayments ranking highest after those from Poland. He also emphasized ongoing technological transformation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making based on analytics. The company invested PLN 900 million in debt portfolios totaling PLN 5.8 billion in the first half of 2024, focusing primarily on unsecured retail debt outside Poland, particularly in Italy.
