The Polish Ministry of Digitalization plans legal changes to regulate the removal of illegal online content through an administrative process, rather than leaving decisions solely to platforms. Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski announced that users will be able to appeal removals in court.

A new draft law implementing the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) includes a content-blocking procedure, allowing the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) to order the immediate blocking of content that violates personal rights, intellectual property, or promotes illegal acts, within 2-21 days. Gawkowski emphasized that this process assesses content legality without targeting the user. The draft also safeguards free speech by enabling reinstatement of wrongly removed posts after oversight by a national digital services coordinator.
