Nearly one in five female entrepreneurs (17 percent) face discouragement from their loved ones when running a business, according to the "Polki i przedsiębiorczość 2024: Wsparcie bliskich" report. The study reveals a mix of challenges and support for women in business. While some entrepreneurs experience a lack of financial backing from family or unconstructive criticism, others find their loved ones curious about their ventures, with 57 percent regularly asked about their businesses. Over half of the respondents report feeling appreciated and admired by their close circles, and 44 percent say they are actively encouraged to continue their entrepreneurial journey. Romantic partners emerge as the most significant source of support for 50 percent of respondents, while 13 percent turn to their parents for encouragement. The report underscores the complex role of personal relationships in shaping the experiences of female entrepreneurs.
