The latest public opinion poll shows that Polish women feel that they are attractive, as confirmed by three quarters of the respondents. Only a dozen or so percent deny this. Only every tenth compatriot is unable to determine this. The survey also showed that self-satisfaction is strongly linked to income level. Most often it applies to women earning more than PLN 9 thousand net per month, working in large companies or institutions. In turn, unattractive feel mostly Polish women earning less than PLN 1,000 per hand, employed by small entities.
"In my opinion, the results are positive in all age groups. Women aged 23-35, who were ranked first, may have already experienced many situations confirming their attractiveness. Nevertheless, Polish senior women set an example that the feeling of attractiveness and satisfaction with oneself is independent of how old one is," Michal Murgrabia, co-author of the study from the ePsycholodzy.pl platform, said.
"All over the world women, to varying degrees, are subjected to the so-called beauty terror. Polish teenagers are in the lead of the most dissatisfied with their bodies. My research shows that teenage girls experience the most unjustified criticism and violence because of their appearance," UAM profesor Iwona Chmura-Rutkowska, PhD, from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, added.
