The implementation of innovation in industrial enterprises is seen primarily as an opportunity to increase competitiveness, efficiency and flexibility of production, as well as a necessary step to maintain a good position on the market. As many as three quarters of Polish companies plan to introduce at least three solutions of Industry 4.0 in the near future, but for many companies the financing of such investments is a problem. The state of digitization in industry is shown in the new report "Successes and challenges in the digitization of Polish industrial enterprises", developed at the request of the Initiative Future of the Polish Autodesk Industry.
As many as 44.5 percent of respondents admitted that the lack of sufficient financial resources is the reason why the introduction of Industry 4.0 solutions in micro and small industrial enterprises is limited. Noticeable deficiencies can also be seen in the employment structure – 44 percent of respondents pointed to the problem of the lack of properly educated employees in the company.
"Responding to these barriers, we established the Future of the Polish Industry Initiative. Within it, we bring a practical approach – we want to help the owners and management of Polish manufacturing and industrial companies in the practical application of modern processes and technology so that they can create better products, increase sales and generate more profits," Dr. Radosław Cieślak, Executive Industry Manager at Autodesk, said.
