Most Polish employees feel confident about finding a job, but less enthusiastic about searching for their ideal role, which has extended the average job search duration to 3.2 months, according to Randstad’s Labor Market Monitor.
In the past six months, 20% of employees changed employers, while 17% changed positions within their company. Women switch jobs more often (23% vs. 17% of men), and job changes are most common among young workers, those on permanent contracts, and residents of large cities. Interestingly, higher pay is no longer the top reason for switching jobs, ranking fourth (33%). Instead, dissatisfaction with the previous employer (42%), career growth (38%), and a better contract (34%) are now the main drivers.
Despite low fears of job loss (only 8% feel at high risk), workers are becoming more selective, preferring quality over availability, which prolongs their job search despite greater market opportunities.
