In July 2024, the share of foreign investors in Polish government bonds increased by PLN 8.3 billion to PLN 145.8 billion, as reported by the Ministry of Finance. Domestic debt in Treasury securities rose by PLN 13.4 billion to PLN 1,075.4 billion. This increase includes debt to banks (including the National Bank of Poland) up by PLN 2.6 billion to PLN 551.7 billion, non-bank domestic investors up by PLN 2.5 billion to PLN 377.8 billion, and foreign investors up by PLN 8.3 billion to PLN 145.8 billion.
Consequently, the share of banks in domestic Treasury debt decreased to 51.3% from 51.7% in June, while the share of non-bank domestic investors dropped to 35.1% from 35.3%. Conversely, the share of foreign investors increased to 13.6% from 13.0%.
