The level of real recycling of plastics in Poland does not exceed 10%

Officially, the level of plastic recycling in Poland ranges from 27 percent to just over 30 percent, but the level of real recycling does not exceed 10 percent, according to a study by Plastics Review magazine.
The value of the entire recycling market in Poland in 2021 was a net PLN 2.8 billion, which is not much, given the role recycling is expected to play in the functioning of the circular economy (GOZ). Compared to its EU counterparts, Poland's recycling industry is small: it is made up of up to 150 companies with revenues of more than PLN 1 million net per year, less than in one German state.
