Tusk: The EU can become a military power
In Berlin, Polish PM Tusk urged a major boost to EU defense and ammunition production in response to Russia's aggression. He stressed joint Polish-German responsibility for ongoing support to Ukraine and mobilizing the EU to strengthen its defenses. Tusk highlighted the need for a powerful EU, not just economically but also militarily, and emphasized unity against Russia. He stressed the multi-faceted nature of security, including supporting Ukraine, rebuilding European military strength, and addressing energy and food security.
He also called for EU flexibility on the Green Deal and Ukrainian agricultural imports.
