UOKiK fines 10 companies from HRE Investments for PLN 4.2 mln

Tomasz Chróstny, President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), has imposed a total fine of PLN 4.2 million on 10 companies from the HRE Investments group for failing to provide requested information in an ongoing investigation. The penalties are not final, and the companies can appeal to the Competition and Consumer Protection Court.

The largest fine (PLN 3.2 million) was imposed on HREIT, with smaller penalties for other firms. UOKiK stated that delaying responses and document submission can result in fines of up to 3% of turnover. The investigation concerns practices harming consumer rights. Chróstny emphasized that cooperation and timely information delivery are essential to quickly eliminate anti-consumer and anti-competitive practices.
