Warsaw rises in tech

Warsaw is emerging as one of Europe’s top tech job markets, driven by low unemployment, competitive salaries, and a growing talent pool. According to CBRE’s Global Tech Talent GuideBook 2025, IT sector unemployment in Warsaw hit a record low of 1.2% in March—far below Brussels (10.7%). The city now employs 100,000–150,000 IT professionals, with universities expanding programs to meet demand.
Foreign specialists, particularly from Ukraine and Belarus, are also fueling growth. Average IT salaries in Warsaw reach $73,121 annually, on par with Lisbon and Stockholm. While still below San Francisco ($177,273) and Zurich ($139,272), they remain attractive regionally.
Warsaw’s appeal is further bolstered by a thriving startup scene, major tech employers, and growing AI expertise—placing Poland among the global top 15 for AI talent. According to CBRE, this positions the capital as a prime destination for both IT professionals and investors.
