The specificity of the Congress is determined by combining speeches by scientists from Polish and foreign universities as well as leading experts and economists. As every year, the Congress will be attended by senior and middle managers holding the Master of Business Administration title, MBA Program Directors and scientists from Polish and foreign universities. The Cracow School of Business CUE aims to make the annual congress meetings a permanent part of every MBA manager's calendar, hence the decision to use new circumstances and tools for remote communication and to give space for discussion despite the restrictions on meetings and events. 

Leading thought - New business models in the Industry 4.0 era

In many of his publications Joseph Schumpeter claimed that economic development is driven by innovation in a dynamic process where new technologies replace the old. He called this process "creative destruction". Innovation, in his view, is a factor that is permanently knocking the economy out of balance. The key to making changes in the economy is new combinations of production factors that results in a state of "creative destruction" which permanently changes and shifts the previously existing balance of the economic system.

It seems that the 21st century is a time of permanent "creative destruction" and the changes implemented every day cause the point of equilibrium of the economic system to constantly change its position.  These changes also affect entrepreneurs, who constantly have to adapt to changing competition on the global market. These changes concern not only progressive digitalization, electromobility, but also interpersonal relations or managerial competence. How do entrepreneurs cope with these changes, how do their organizational structures react, or whether and how the implemented changes will affect our daily lives? These are just some of the questions that we will face during the XVI e-Congress MBA.

Charity:

1.       This year, we support the Department of Internal Medicine and Geriatry of the Cracow University Hospital - currently a homogeneous infectious diseases hospital where patients with SARS Covid-19 are treated. 2.       The times we have to operate are not easy. They are not gracious to art and artists. The budget of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Cracow has suffered greatly due to the lack of spectators and thus the lack of income from tickets. Financial stability is in danger, but we do not give up and act! Our actors take part in online projects to keep in touch with the audience. The theatre does not sell tickets for online events, but we will appreciate the financial support - every amount counts! This help will allow us to survive and carry out further projects.
