Hybrid work tensions rise

A new Colliers Define report reveals a growing disconnect between employee expectations and hybrid work practices in Poland. Office workers currently spend an average of 3.6 days per week on-site but would prefer just 2.6. Only 32% of respondents say they can independently choose where they work, with the greatest autonomy found in IT and business services, and the least in manufacturing.

Colliers notes that giving employees more control can boost satisfaction but complicates management. Public sector and manufacturing employees spend the most time in the office, while IT workers are present the least.

The report highlights significant sectoral differences in work conditions. IT professionals rate both office and remote setups highly, while public and customer service employees face poor home ergonomics and tech access. Colliers recommends individualized hybrid strategies based on thorough organizational analysis to avoid missteps and support engagement, innovation, and effective collaboration.
