A 2021 report by EY Polska for the Polish Cement Association highlights the cement sector’s significant economic contribution, with PLN 3.2 billion in public revenues and support for 23,800 jobs. The sector generated PLN 5.1 billion in value-added, a 34% increase from 2018. Poland, with 12 cement plants, ranks third in European cement production.

While 2024 saw a 5.6% production increase to 16.5 million tons, challenges included weaker construction demand and higher cement imports. A 5% growth is expected in 2025, potentially surpassing 18 million tons. The industry’s modernization, backed by decades of investment, makes it one of Europe’s most advanced, driving local employment and tax revenues, especially in regions hosting cement plants.
