According to a survey conducted by PayPo, Poland's leading BNPL ("buy now, pay later") provider, over half of Poles, plan to celebrate Valentine's Day this year. The study reveals that 63 percent will spend the day with a loved one, while 74 percent identify as romantics. When it comes to gifts, three-quarters of respondents plan to spend up to PLN 200, with 33 percent setting their budget between PLN 101–200.

Traditional gift-giving remains the most popular way to mark the occasion, with 61 percent planning to buy presents for their partners. Romantic dinners in restaurants are another common choice, with 38 percent opting for this classic celebration. Other preferred activities include movie or theater outings (19 percent) and weekend getaways (10 percent). Meanwhile, 38 percent of Poles prefer a quiet evening at home.

Flowers (32 percent), chocolates (30 percent), and cosmetics (29 percent) are the top Valentine's Day gifts. While price matters to some, 59 percent believe the gesture is more important than the cost. Shopping habits are evenly split, with 44 percent opting for online stores and 56 percent choosing in-store purchases, highlighting a mix of convenience and tradition in Valentine's Day shopping.
