Developers face price disclosure

Starting September 11, all Polish developers must publish prices of apartments and houses, following an amendment to the Act on the Protection of Purchasers that came into force in July. The requirement extends to all projects, regardless of when sales began, and includes disclosing prices per square meter, adjacent spaces such as storage or parking, additional costs, and a history of price changes.
According to the Polish Association of Developers (PZFD), the measure will boost transparency and competition, helping buyers make informed decisions. Analysts expect transaction prices to remain stable, but sales strategies may shift. Discounts often used to attract customers could be replaced with direct price adjustments, potentially lowering average asking prices. However, PZFD also warns some firms may raise prices as a buffer against penalties. The true market impact will become clearer in the coming weeks.
