Actress and “Our New Home” host Elżbieta Romanowska is reflecting on her childhood as the new school year begins. She recalls her elementary school days with warmth, noting that growing up without modern gadgets led to more imaginative and active play.
“We didn’t need computers, tablets, scooters, or any of those fancy gadgets. All we needed was a jump rope, a ball, or even some pebbles, and we could play for hours,” she shared.
Romanowska emphasized how easily children came together during school breaks, quickly inventing new games and fully engaging with each other.
“It was a phenomenal time – both in and out of school,” she said.
She also credits her mother for instilling important values early on.
“Thanks to my mom’s example, I learned empathy, tolerance, and respect for others from a very young age,” Romanowska added.
Her reflections serve as a nostalgic contrast to today’s tech-driven childhoods, reminding us that meaningful experiences don’t always come from screens.
