In 2024, 95.9% of Polish households had internet access, up by 2.6 percentage points from the previous year, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Broadband connections increased for both fixed (up 2.6 points) and mobile (up 2.2 points) services. Additionally, 67.4% of individuals aged 16-74 made online purchases, an increase from 64.3% in 2023. Disparities between urban and rural areas in online shopping widened, with the largest gap in the Mazowieckie region.
Moreover, 61% of people used public administration services online, with urban residents using e-services more than rural ones. The highest digital skills were found among younger groups (16-34 years), while only 13.7% of those aged 65-74 possessed basic digital skills.
