Poland as a hub of data centers in CEE

According to Marcin Rojewski, consultant in the Warehouse and Industrial Agency at CBRE, Poland is becoming a hub for data centers in Central and Eastern Europe. We can catch up with large European markets in just a few years.
"Even before the pandemic, a rapid development of data centers in Poland was forecast, but the two years of the pandemic have become an even greater impetus for growth for this sector. Our country has the potential to catch up with key Western European cities within a few years and become a hub for Central and Eastern Europe. Especially since this region is not saturated yet," Marcin Rojewski noted.
Currently, there are about 100 data centers in our country, and soon investments of giants such as Amazon and Google will appear. Access to cost-effective and environmentally friendly power sources is of great importance for the further development of data centers in Poland.
"Compared to other countries in Europe and the world, Poland remains an undeveloped data center market. We are at an early stage of development, the market is fragmented, but has great potential, which is why it is an interesting location for investors. Soon we can expect investments from the world's largest entities," the expert emphasized.
