Min of Development takes measure to protect Polish business from unfair competition

On Tuesday, the Polish Council of Ministers approved three deregulatory proposals from the Ministry of Development and Technology. These aim to simplify procedures, stimulate the market, and support local governments.
One project seeks to limit public procurement access for non-EU contractors, unless their countries have trade agreements with the EU (e.g., the WTO GPA). Another project raises the public procurement threshold from PLN 130,000 to PLN 170,000 to better reflect economic realities. The third proposal updates spatial planning laws, allowing municipalities to continue public investment projects even if their current zoning plans expire before new ones are adopted. These changes aim to ensure smoother governance and uninterrupted infrastructure development.
