In Poland, 2 million people work additional jobs alongside their primary employment, driven mainly by high living costs and the availability of flexible work arrangements. According to the Ministry of Finance, this number remained stable compared to the previous year but represents a 5% increase since 2021. Approximately 11.6% of the working population supplements their income due to insufficient earnings from their primary jobs, especially in the face of rising expenses like food, housing, and loans. While flexible work allows for these additional jobs, impending social security changes on civil contracts may reduce the number of people taking on extra work.
