Former Finance Minister Stanisław Kluza has expressed concerns about the potential threats to the Polish economy due to rapid wage growth. He highlighted that sharp increases in the minimum wage could trigger a rise in unemployment, as businesses might struggle to cope with higher labor costs. Sectors dependent on manual labor are particularly vulnerable, facing increased competition from automation.
Kluza also noted ongoing inflationary pressures, which are exacerbated by wage hikes and the phasing out of anti-inflation policies.
