A recent study by relationship experts in Poland has revealed that women are more worried than men about the financial consequences of divorce. Surveying over 1,000 Polish adults, the research found that 65 percent of women are anxious about maintaining their standard of living post-divorce, compared to 45 percent of men.
“Women often face a larger financial burden during and after a divorce due to societal expectations and traditional roles, which heightens their financial anxiety,” Dr. Anna Kowalska, a family dynamics psychologist, explained.
The study also noted that while fewer men express financial worries, there is a growing awareness among them about the importance of financial planning in the event of a divorce.
Experts emphasize the need for targeted financial counseling and support systems to help both genders manage the economic challenges of divorce. Addressing these concerns can reduce the emotional and financial stress associated with ending a marriage.
