By 2040, Poland’s electricity demand will double, making decisions today crucial in determining future energy costs, says Paweł Przybylski, CEO of Onde. Onde, part of Erbud Group, specializes in renewable energy infrastructure, having built one-third of Poland’s wind turbines. Przybylski emphasizes that wind and solar energy are limitless, clean, and significantly impact electricity bills.

Despite the push for energy transition, businesses need better conditions to scale renewables efficiently. Bureaucratic delays, with permits taking up to seven years, hinder industry growth. Simplified procedures could cut this to three years.

With Poland’s energy demand rising from 170 TWh to over 300 TWh by 2040, investing in renewables and infrastructure is crucial to avoid power shortages. Przybylski urges policy support to accelerate green energy, ensuring cheaper and sustainable power.
