Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna announced that the state budget allocation to the National Health Fund (NFZ) will be PLN 18.3 billion in 2025. This is a significant increase compared to PLN 200 million in 2023. Leszczyna explained that this increase is necessary because the reserve fund in the NFZ had been depleted under the previous administration, requiring larger budgetary contributions.

The projected financial plan for the NFZ indicates that medical service costs will rise by PLN 26 billion year-on-year, totaling over PLN 183.6 billion in 2025. Additionally, health insurance contributions are expected to increase by nearly PLN 20 billion, reaching over PLN 173 billion in 2025.
