The Katowice Special Economic Zone achieved fourth place in this year's edition of the global ranking of special economic zones, as prepared by the fDi Intelligence analytical center within the Financial Times group. Meanwhile, the Łódź Special Economic Zone clinched the tenth spot.
The top position in the ranking was claimed by the DMCC zone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with five other UAE zones also making it to the top ten. China's Guangxi zone secured the second position, and the Jebel Ali zone in the UAE took the third spot. The seventh zone in the ranking is situated in Mauritius.
Simultaneously, the Katowice SEZ has been recognized, for the seventh time, as the best in Europe. It previously earned this title in 2015-2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
