Employees expect good commute and proximity to various service points from their workplace

The latest report by ThinkCo, developed in collaboration with Ikea and CIC Warsaw ('Friendly Offices – A Guide to Buildings Where People Want to Work'), shows that after the COVID-19 pandemic, hybrid work has become the standard. In Polish cities with over 100,000 residents, the percentage of employees working in this model reaches 52 percent, and as many as 92 percent of those working remotely or in a hybrid manner want to continue to have this possibility. On the other hand, 65 percent of managers and HR representatives want employees to appear in the office more often, as they believe it improves collaboration quality. In this context, offices are becoming a tool in HR strategies – helping to attract employees back.
'The current model of the ideal, friendly office combines a lot with work-life balance, which means a lot of greenery, care for the environment, addressing ESG aspects – from low-emission concrete to air quality measurements and its purification in office spaces. These are the topics we are currently dealing with,” Marta Zawadzka, leasing director at Yareal Polska, said.
