Nominal hourly labor costs in Poland increased by 12.0% y/y in Q3 2024, compared to a 12.9% rise in Q2 and 12.2% in Q3 2023, according to Eurostat. Wages grew by 12.0%, while other compensation components increased by 11.8%.
Poland recorded the fifth-highest wage growth in the EU, with Romania leading at 17.1%. In industry, labor costs rose by 11.0% in Q3 (up from 10.1% in Q2), in construction by 13.0% (down from 14.2% in Q2), and in services by 9.1% (down from 10.5% in Q1).
