In 2024, 5.9% of Polish enterprises used AI technologies, according to GUS (Poland’s Central Statistical Office). While 94.1% did not adopt AI, 3.2% considered implementing it. The main barriers cited were lack of expertise and human resources (1.9%) and high implementation costs (1.7%). Ethical concerns were the least mentioned (0.9%).

Large enterprises (33%) and the information and communication sector (32.6%) had the highest AI adoption rates, while small businesses (4%) and the construction sector (2%) lagged.

AI was most commonly used for process automation and decision support (2.6%), particularly in marketing and sales (2.4%). The primary method of acquiring AI technologies was purchasing ready-to-use commercial solutions (3.8%), especially among information and communication businesses (19.7%).
