This year, Poles most commonly plan to allocate PLN 200-500 for Christmas Eve and holiday expenses per person. Nearly one in four respondents declared this. The planned spending may include food, decorations, gifts, gatherings, or trips. Specifically, 13 percent of respondents indicated a PLN 200-300 budget, 12.8 percent aimed for PLN 400-500, and 12 percent estimated over PLN 1,000. On the other hand, the fewest respondents – 1.3 percent – said they wouldn’t spend anything. Additionally, 3.2 percent reported a range of PLN 800-900, while 3.7 percent mentioned spending less than PLN 100.
Consumers also revealed how much they spent last year for the same purposes. The most common amount was PLN 200-300, reported by 13 percent of respondents. PLN 100-200 (12.6 percent) and PLN 300-400 (11.8 percent) were close behind. The smallest percentage of Poles last year also reported no expenses – 0.8 percent.
