KSeF causing panic with microbusinesses as entrepreneurs look towards Czech Republic
The upcoming mandatory rollout of Poland’s National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) has triggered widespread concern among Polish entrepreneurs, particularly microbusinesses facing high implementation costs. Czech accounting firms report a surge in inquiries from Polish companies exploring business relocation to avoid KSeF, but experts warn that such moves are neither simple nor universally legal. Establishing a company in the Czech Republic requires genuine business activity, local economic ties, and compliance with tax residency rules, and in many cases relocation could create serious legal and financial risks.
Industry organizations are calling for a two-year delay of KSeF for microenterprises, arguing that postponement would prevent closures, reduce chaos, and still allow effective VAT control while giving firms time to prepare.
